Our company offers high quality and efficient Refrigeration Plants includes Ammonia Refrigeration Plant and Freon Refrigeration Plant. These refrigeration plants use gas, liquid, and mechanical energy to move heat from one place to another.
A liquid, such as ammonia, which has a low boiling temperature, is allowed to pass into a space via tubing. As the pressure in the ammonia drops, the liquid begins to boil, and enter a phase change from liquid to gas. In doing so, there is a great absorption of heat energy by the liquid in the tubing to create this phase change. The heat energy is absorbed from the space, and as the liquid boils off, it forms a gas. The gas is pulled through the tubing in the space into a suction header outside the space to the suction of a compressor. The compressor repressurises the gas, and discharges the liquid through cold water heat exchangers or cooling fans, exhausting the heat absorbed from the space, into the outside atmosphere. By pressurising and cooling the gas, the gas returns to a liquid stage, where it is stored and reintroduced to the space to be cooled.
Shakti Industries is engaged in making of three different types of chilling plants for mushroom growing Viz.
- A) FREON BASED COOLING SYSTEM
- B) CHILLED WATER TYPE SYSTEM
- C) GRAVITY FEED OR DIRECT AMMONIA SYSTEM
A) FREON BASED COOLING SYSTEM
This type of plant is recommended for small and medium farms of about 500kg/ day production. These plants are fully automatic in operation and have precise control of temperature and humidity. This is a very compact system and can be installed in very small spacing.
As During the mushroom production not to have any disruption is very crucial in terms of yield. We generally provide multiple Freon units in every growing room so that our process temperature do not get affected if any one unit stops working. Since all the system is assembled on a main chassis, a quick interference can be possible in case of malfunction.
The radial ventilators/ Axial Fans in air control systems are manufactured as forward curved blades (dense blades) and made up of a different material which coated by a special formula and resist to humidity. By this way inner circulation air has with highest humidity rate no effects to the fan.
B) Chilled water (Secondary Refrigerant) Cooling system
Ammonia is used as Primary refrigerant in this system which is used for chilling water (secondary refrigerant) using Semi Welded Plate ChillerPackage.Growing room cooling is achieved by circulating this chilled water through Air handling unit coils.
This system restricts Ammonia to the machine room of the farm so that there is no chance of ammonia contamination in the mushroom production.
Ammonia is used as primary refrigerant and Automation of this system can also be done.
The Shakti Semi-Welded Plate Chiller Package incorporates semi-welded plate heat exchanger technology with split-flow surge drum design and state of the art level controls into a complete package which reduces installation time and cost compared to field fabricated units. The unit comes complete with oil management system and proportional liquid feed assembly requiring only two refrigerant connections in the field.

C) Gravity feed or Direct Ammonia Plant
This system is most effective of the lot. In this system expanded ammonia liquid is fed directly into the surge drum of the Air handling Unit and it flows by gravity in the coils. As the expansion of refrigerant takes place inside the AHU there is no heat loss in the system. Thus, this system gives maximum cooling with lowest power consumption.

Other components like Compressors, Fans, Motors, Valves etc are outsourced from our reliable and world renowned vendors like KIRLOSKAR, ALFA LAVAL, DANFOSS, CROMPTON GREAVES etc.
Ammonia being the natural gas i.e non CFC thus having ZERO Ozone Depletion Potential. Apart from this Ammonia is most efficient refrigerant of the LOT resulting in low running cost and easy maintenance, are suitable for following uses:-
